One side has strips of fabric on a diagonal and a block of pretty fabric on the other side. Place the edge of the two sections under the presser foot with the right side of the presser foot even with the raw edge of the unit. Made with a jelly roll, a fat quarter, binding fabric and cotton batting.
Continue in this manner until you have turned the last corner. Suitable for Intermediate to Advanced sewers.
Sew the two sections together. Two strips of patchwork across the top with topstitching and then background is quilted.
Quilt the layers together by sewing rows of stitching on the front side of the mug rugs. Sew the sections together.
Press the seam toward the sashing section. Top of mat features an umbrella with a background stitched with embroidery thread for raindrops. Assorted scraps of fabric for the top, backed with quilt batting or fleece and a piece of fabric for the back. Place the long sashing section to the long side of one of the two part section and sew together while placing the right edge of the foot along the raw edge of the unit. Quilt as you sew with this cutie, features round edges and trimmed with fabric cut on the bias.
